ABOUT
ME

Hi, my name is Lauren. I am a trained Sports Massage Therapist and a fully insured member of the SMA.
The human body and it's capability of movement has always fascinated me and I started dancing at an early age. I went on to train professionally in Dance and Musical Theatre, graduating with my degree from Bird College in 2015.
At college I witnessed injuries and sore muscles day in, day out. Being proactive I wanted to actually be able to do something about it and so (when I finally got the time!) I trained in Sports Massage with YMCA Fit.
My technique is firm but attentive and considerate to your needs. Although I mainly practice sports massage I am happy to deliver a nice relaxing massage - just let me know!

you touch everything."

WHAT I DO
-
Assess your needs
-
Use a firm massage technique alongside other soft tissue techniques to help with your specific problem. I love to work with clients' own movement to assist a certain stretch or MET.
-
Always check in with you regularly during the massage in regard to pressure and pain.
-
Advise on follow up sessions (this may include referring to someone else if I think a different therapy would be better suited).
-
Advise on what muscles may need strengthening or stretching and suggest some practical exercises.
-
Some dysfunctions I have helped with: back pain, bad posture, knee pain, hamstring strains and tendinopathy, neck pain, shoulder tension, pain relief and care for musculoskeletal disorders, DOMS.
I am particularly passionate about helping dancers and performers within the industry or training - if this is you don't hesitate to get in touch!
